DINNER FOR TWO LEFTOVERS

In Dinner for Two Leftovers, every single object attends dinner with us for a reason. Each object draws connections to what theorist Timothy Morton would call intellectual "hyperobjects" that need to be considered on a personal scale to become visible.

On the wall near the long table, viewers encounter a group of ash paintings (ash and transparent medium painted on paper that has been torn and mended with gold thread.) These works hang salon-style in assorted frames. The ash used to create these paintings holds deep personal significance, salvaged from a fireplace that kept me alive during a cold Northeastern winter.
